JASON REHN – 1,000 RUNS

Congratulations to Jason Rehn who notched up his 1,000th run for the WCC during his century on Saturday, in just his 32nd match for the club.

Arriving at Wistow in 2021/22, Jase split time between A2s & Cs that season, scoring 306 runs @ 27.82 (SR 81.17). Last season, work commitments limited him to seven (7) matches (all in Bs) but he still managed to score 213 runs @ 30.43 (SR 88.75) to win the B Grade Batting Trophy.

This season, however, has been by far Jase’s most productive as he’s already scored a staggering 559 runs @ 62.11, with a whopping strike rate of 113.55 and including three (3) half-centuries and two (2) centuries.

During his innings on Saturday, Jase also set a new single-season record for most runs in C Grade (which he will no doubt add to in the coming weeks), topping the record which had been held by the panther, Dean Mortimer since 2006/07 when Morts scored 547 runs @ 45.58 – incredibly in that season, after scoring just 6 in the opening round, Morts never scored less than 21 for the rest of the season, a streak of twelve (12) straight innings of 20 or more!

Perhaps most impressive of all, Jase has passed fifty 11 times in just 31 innings!

Well done Jase!
