Another day, another representative honour for a young Echidna – Congratulations to Jesse Nunan from our Under 14’s who has been selected for the Fleurieu & Districts side in the SACA U14’s Country Carnival taking place this week.
The carnival kicked off on Monday with Fleurieu & Districts having their first match against Mid North at Lyndoch on what looks to have been a greentop, with Mid North batting for 40 overs to be bowled out for just 67. The F&D boys found the chase tough but got there 6 down after 30.2 overs to start their campaign successfully.
Jesse didn’t get an opportunity to bowl (their captain must be unaware of Jesse’s economy rate of 1.6 this season!) but he batted at No. 3 and was the third highest scorer with a useful contribution of 12 in the successful chase.
