NEW LIFE MEMBERS – DAVID KINLOUGH & JORDAN BALTMAN

The biggest honour a community sporting club can award is Life Membership & we had the honour of awarding Life Membership to two (2) new recipients, Dave Kinlough & Jordan Baltman, at last night’s 2024/25 Presentation Dinner.

The Wistow Cricket Club proudly has one of the highest thresholds to be eligible for Life Membership, requiring a minimum of twenty-five (25) years of service to the club & whilst that can include time as a player, it must also include non-playing contributions such as work on the committee, coaching or other volunteer work for the club.

Starting as a player in Under 16’s in 1999 & most recently playing in 2023, Dave was a long time A Grade player, with 144 of his 221 seniors matches coming in A’s. A 5 x A Grade Captain, Dave has played the 9th most matches in WCC history, scored the 12th most runs & taken the 5th most catches. Behind the scenes, Dave has been the WCC Secretary for the last eleven (11) seasons & has also coached our U16’s several times.

Jordan, meanwhile, debuted in 1996 in Under 13’s & is still an active player. A 6 x Captain between B & C Grade, Jordan is a 3 x Premiership Player including once as Captain. His 314 seniors matches is 2nd most in WCC history, whilst he has taken the 7th most wickets & the 13th most catches. Behind the scenes, Jordan has been a Committee Member for the last fifteen (15) seasons, including five (5) years as Vice President. Jordan is also our stats guru & the closest thing to a club historian, as well as having run our website & social media pages in recent years.

We’ll have details in the coming days of all of the award winners from last night’s Presentation Dinner but for now, congratulations to Dave & Jordan on your Life Membership.

Finally, below are some details on all of Dave & Jordan’s achievements, as well as a list of all WCC Life Members.
