What a 12 months it’s been for our captain courageous, Harrison Burgess, starting with leading the club to our maiden A2’s Premiership last season as a 19 year old.
This season, he’s gone from strength to strength, setting a new career high score (94) in January, new best bowling figures (7/26) a few weeks ago, he’s passed both 100 seniors wickets and 1,000 seniors runs and his match-winning 7/26 in an A2’s victory in fact came in his 100th game of senior cricket for the Echidnas (almost all of which have come in either As or A2s).
An all-round top bloke too, Harry has been on the WCC Committee for several seasons now, is our unofficial club curator and is also largely responsible for ensuring the bar is regularly stocked.
Congratulations Harry, we look forward to seeing you achieve many more milestones in the future!
